Heights & Lifting Equipment Inspection & Tagging

Height and lifting equipment should be examined and maintained to keep it safe to use. In addition to pre-use inspections, we will verify that all equipment is correctly evaluated in accordance with Australian Standards.

Heights & Lifting Equipment Inspection Services

It is necessary to examine and maintain your heights and lifting equipment regularly to ensure safe use. Visual inspections should be performed before use and the regular inspections mandated by Australian Standards.

Ladders of every kind now require regular inspection due to new regulations and a national code of practice according to Australian Standards.

The national fall prevention regulations and national Code of Practice for Managing The Risk Of Falls At Workplaces mandate the regular inspection of ladders. Fixed ladders must comply with AS/NZS 1657, while portable ladders must meet the requirements of AS/NZS 1892.

Some of the most common reasons for failed inspections are the placement of the top rung and the clearances of the rungs.

Harness & other Safety Equipment Inspections

Sydney Safety Training carried out inspections of harnesses and other safety equipment in line with AS/NZ 1891.4:2009.

At the manufacturer's suggested intervals, all equipment items in regular operation must be submitted to periodic inspection and, where required, service. The schedule below, as outlined in AS/NZ 1891.4, applies when no interval is specified. A height safety equipment inspector will conduct these checks.

Equipment utilised in severe settings, such as damp, dusty, abrasive, or corrosive, should be examined more regularly, typically twice as often as recommended. (For example, the mining business).
