Maintaining fire protection equipment through regular inspections by qualified professionals is not just a requirement, it is a critical responsibility.
At JAB safety, people come first.
In the case of a small fire, a portable fire extinguisher can decrease or eliminate the degree of harm, damage & expense to the business if used properly.
We are here to uphold the Australian Fire Standards & demonstrate a genuine commitment to protecting you & your employees, reducing risk, preserving valuable assets & complying with insurance obligations.

Fire can be wild & unpredictable. In Australia, fire extinguisher standards are primarily governed by Australian Standards AS2444 and AS1851.
Regular inspections by trained personnel to service & tag fire equipment should occur every 6 months to make sure they are visually inspected for indications of damages or leaks.
A pressure test is also required every 5 years where an accredited tester will empty, pressure test and refill each fire extinguisher. In addition, yearly services on some fire extinguishers are also required.
Failure to maintain fire extinguishers in accordance with regulations can result in fines, penalties, and compromised insurance coverage.
